Material: grey sedge from Long An
Grey sedge (cỏ bàng, Lepironia articulata) grows wild in the acidic wetlands of the Plain of Reeds (Đồng Tháp Mười) in southern Vietnam, best known in Long An. The stems are harvested, sun-dried, flattened and hand-woven by local artisans. The fiber keeps its natural straw-gold color, is soft yet durable and is not chemically bleached – a plastic-free alternative chosen by many brands for packaging and homeware.
